LITEUP by Touch Of ECO are outdoor solar LED string lights that will add light to any home or landscape without the need of long power cords or an increased electricity bill. The included remote solar panel is all that is needed to power the 200 LEDs for up to eight hours each night. Plus each light features two light settings; choose between steady or flashing light modes.
These weatherproof solar powered string lights measure between 68 feet long depending on which set you choose. Making them perfect for decorating railings, wreaths, mailboxes, patio umbrellas and bushes. Each LITEUP has a built in day/night sensor that automatically turns the LEDs on/off each night. Just clip or stake the solar panel in place and turn on.

Q: What does "weather resistant" mean? Can these be left outside regardless of weather, or do they have to be removed in certain cases? Do the bulbs themselves stay cool, i.e. when installed on a living tree or plant, especially in the summer, is the plant safe, and is there any kind of fire hazard involved with their use?
A: Weather resistant means they can be left outside in all weather conditions. Meaning they will work in snow, rain, sleet, etc (as long as they receive direct sunlight to charge the unit). We say weather resistant because weather proof suggests that they are submergible which they are not. Our products have however been factory tested to withstand over 120 degrees fahrenheit and extreme snow fall. The bulbs themselves will remain cool to the touch and are not hazardous to any plant or shrub they are placed on. These are intentionally designed to be wrapped around a tree, bush, deck, etc.
Q: How long of sun exposure is required to fully charge the solar panel?
A: We recommend facing your solar panel south west to receive maximum sunlight. Each 200 solar string light unit requires at least 6 hours of direct sunlight in order to generate peak performance. If the unit receives less than 6 hours it will still work however the lights might not remain on the full eight hours as advertised.
Q: Do the lights come on only after dark?
All our solar lights feature a light sensor that is designed to detect darkness. Meaning that when left on the light sensor will gauge the level of light and when minimal light is detected the LEDs will illuminate (in either flashing or steady mode as set by the customers). This saves the battery life of the unit allowing it to charge throughout the day and because these lights are intended to be used at night as decoration. If left in the ON or Flashing position our solar lights will automatically illuminate each night.
Q: How large is the solar panel? Does it need to go on a roof top?
A: Our solar panel is 4"x4" which is approximately 25% larger than any other competing solar product. Each set comes with a grounding stake which measures 10" high and can be staked directly into the ground. These can of course be placed on a roof if the customer would like however we recommend that they secure the solar panel so it does not blow away.
Q: Can you turn the lights off at times you are not wanting them in use?
A: Yes. Each unit has three settings, Steady, Flashing, and OFF. They can be turned off at any time. While off, the solar panel will still charge and collect energy.
